In 2023, a primary goal of mundialis and our sister company terrestris was to achieve successful certification of our respective quality and environmental management systems in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 standards. We are pleased to announce that our efforts in this regard have been crowned with success and that we have officially held the relevant certificates since December 2023.
Reaching a milestone
During the certification process, we collected, reviewed, scrutinized, revised, optimized, visualized and documented numerous processes of our companies in order to meet the requirements of the specific standards as well as our own high standards. The successful certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 marks a significant milestone in our company history. It formally confirms our continuous pursuit of excellence and ongoing, scrutinized development, which have always been an integral part of our corporate philosophy.
The decision to obtain certification underlines our multifaceted commitment to further anchoring quality in our business practices and confirms our positioning as a sustainable company and our commitment to ecological responsibility. All levels and areas of our companies were involved in the introduction of the management systems in a transparent and comprehensible manner and were called upon to actively shape the specific design.
Our quality promise for the future
Our certification goes beyond mere compliance with standards and has led to a further refinement of many operational processes. This not only has a positive effect on the quality of the services offered, but also creates an optimal working environment for the dedicated employees of both companies. This process not only optimized operational efficiency, but also raised employees’ environmental awareness.
The TAW Cert GmbHwhich carried out our certification audits in November, accordingly certifies that mundialis is certified for the application area “Creation of free Geodata and development Free and open source software as well as consulting in the field of remote sensing for customized GIS solutions that are implemented in a customer-oriented and scientifically sound manner” have introduced and apply a quality management system and an environmental management system. Proof was also provided that the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 / DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 standards are met in full.
We are proud to have successfully completed this meaningful effort and know that we and our customers will benefit from it. At the heart of both management systems is the fact that they are not static and that we must constantly and regularly check whether we are still meeting the requirements. We therefore look forward to continuing to work actively on the topics of quality and the environment in the future.
