Exciting news from the world of geoinformatics and environmental analysis

We are pleased to announce a pioneering partnership between mundialis GmbH & Co KG from Bonn and Margosa Environmental Solutions Ltd. from the UK. This collaboration combines the strengths of two innovative companies to develop holistic solutions for complex environmental and resource issues.

Margosa Environmental Solutions Ltd. brings its extensive expertise in hydrology and geomorphology to a wide range of environmental engineering applications. A particular focus is on the application of machine learning for the fusion and analysis of big data, exclusively using Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).

mundialis GmbH Co. KG complements these competencies with their know-how in remote sensing, data preparation and analysis, as well as the development of tailored software solutions. Their experience in providing Analysis Ready Data and agile project management will ensure the efficiency and quality of joint ventures. mundialis also works and uses exclusively Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).

A key aspect of this partnership is knowledge transfer. Margosa will contribute its expertise in end-user training for FOSS and FOSS-based analytical tools. This enables the sustainable implementation of developed solutions in practice.

The vision of this partnership goes far beyond individual projects. Together, mundialis and Margosa aim to develop innovative solutions for some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. From modeling water resources to analyzing land use changes to predicting natural hazards – the potential for positive impact is enormous.

We are convinced that the combination of state-of-the-art remote sensing, AI-supported data analysis, and profound environmental expertise will pave the way for innovative and sustainable solutions. We consistently rely on open-source technologies to ensure transparency and enable broad application.
